Brianna Schunk

Trainee

Brianna Schunk (she/they) is a dancer, an artist, a poet, and a renaissance woman. After growing up in York, PA, she moved to Wilkes-Barre where she graduated with a BA in Dance and English from Wilkes University. Following this, she spent a year training with the Limon Dance Company. She also originated a solo from former Paul Taylor dancer Annmaria Mazzini titled "Slow Poison." Most recently, Brianna has been performing with Ballet Northeast and teaching for the Wilkes University Conservatory. Some of her favorite roles to perform were the Diamond Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, the Lion in Carnival of the Animals, and Dewdrop Fairy in The Nutcracker. She has also choreographed numerous original works, including a full contemporary piece titled Cascade. Brianna is currently working towards her Master's Degree in Library Science from Simmons University, and has a handful of poetry and academic publications. In their free time, they also enjoy creating dance costumes and cosplay, winning Best Beginner Performance as Avatar Aang at Zenkaikon 2025. Brianna is thrilled to join the ECB group and is excited to start putting their talents and skills toward a new goal.
