Melody Green

Company Artist

Melody Green is a Memphis-born dance artist, educator, and performer whose journey began long before she stepped into a studio. A 2024 graduate of the University of Memphis, she holds a BFA with a concentration in Dance, where she cultivated a strong foundation in contemporary movement, performance, and community engagement. While in Memphis, Melody taught at local studios and led open community classes, building a practice rooted in accessibility and connection. She performed with Traipse Dance, a Memphis-based project company, and brought new works to life with acclaimed choreographers Brian Brooks and David Dorfman at the American Dance Festival, premiering on the ADF stage. Currently, Melody is a teaching artist with Pilobolus, leading movement workshops in schools and senior centers across Connecticut, including Connecting with Balance, a program designed to support mobility and well-being in older adults. She is excited to begin her first season with Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet, where she looks forward to continuing her growth through meaningful, collaborative performance. Melody believes in dance as a powerful tool for joy, expression, and accessible, intergenerational connection. Outside of dance, she enjoys spending time with her dog, exploring hiking trails, and watching the sunset whenever she can.
